Overview
Located on the Gloucester to Newport line, Chepstow station (like many on this route) was designed by Britain’s most famous railway engineer, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, in 1850. It holds Grade II listed status.
The station, built in the Italianate style of the railway age, hasn’t changed much since it was first built. Today it welcomes over a quarter of a million passengers every year.
With the town centre, Chepstow Castle and other attractions nearby, the station is an important part of Chepstow's transport infrastructure.
